Drama Boot Camp: Inspirational Theater
Ages 13-17
This summer’s drama boot camp will focus around the concept of “inspirational theater.”  From day one, the class will begin working to create and perform an original show based around a class-determined topic which is meant to inspire and invoke change.  A variety of performance styles will be utilized, including but not limited to: monologues, mini-scenes, Reader’s Theater, song, and dance.  All students will be expected to perform in the skit as well as be an integral part of the playwriting process.  Minimum enrollment of 5 required to offer this program- Maximum 30.  No experience is necessary, but may be helpful.

      6 sessions      M/W/F      7/21-8/1      12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Music Hall
$60 (plus $10 for camp T-shirt paid at first class: do not have to purchase,
but they will be used as ‘costumes’for the final performance)

Junior Drama Boot Camp
Ages 8-12
This is a younger version of the drama boot camp with more emphasis on the basic skills of acting, including lots of theatre games: a great way to start exploring the world of theatre!  The culmination of the class will include a short skit performed by the students on the last day of class.  Last year’s boot camp members are encouraged to sign up again!  Minimum enrollment of 5 required to offer this program- Maximum 30.              No experience necessary. 

        6 sessions      M/W/F     7/21-8/1      9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. at the Music Hall
$60 (plus $10 for camp T-shirt paid at first class do not have to purchase,
but they will be used as ‘costumes’ for the final performance)

Encore Youth Theater provides training and experience in the performing and theater arts for students aged 8–18. Determining factors for membership in the program are a desire to participate, commitment by student and parents, as well as talent and potential. Parent involvement is a requirement for Encore membership. The Encore Committee, approved by the Hartland Players’ Board of Directors, is responsible for operating the group.
