The Hartland Players Gears Up for its 51st Season


The Hartland Players releases the shows in its 2018/2019 season

Hartland Michigan, July 10, 2018The Hartland Players Mainstage and Encore Youth Theater are proud to present their 2018/2019 season. In its 51st year, the Hartland Players is excited to present new shows along with favorites from previous seasons.

“We wanted to perform a mix of community theater classics with some newer, out-there shows,” says Jenifer Thomas, President of the Hartland Players Board of Directors. “This season, there is something for everyone to enjoy.”

The Mainstage season will kick off with “Escanaba in Da Moonlight” by Jeff Daniels – a favorite for audiences last time it was performed by the Players. Auditions for the show are held August 27 & 28, 2018 and performances will be held November 24 & 25 and December 1 & 2, 2018. In the winter, Mainstage will perform “Rumors” by Neil Simon – a community theater classic. Auditions will be held January 7 & 8, 2019 and performances will be held February 23 & 24 and March 2 & 3, 2019. For the spring, Mainstage is getting ghoulish with “The Addams Family, A New Musical.” Auditions will be held March 11 & 12, 2019 and performances will be held May 11, 12, 18 & 19, 2019. All auditions and performances will be held at the Hartland Music Hall in Historic Hartland.

Encore Youth Theater will perform two shows this year, one in the fall and one in the spring. The fall production is “Drac’s Back” by Craig Sordaro which will coincide with Halloween with performances on October 26, 27 & 28, 2018. Auditions are open to youth age 7 – 18 on September 8, 2018. Auditions and performances will be held at the Hartland Music Hall in Historic Hartland. For the spring, Encore will perform “Seussical the Musical Jr”. – a 60-minute version of the Broadway hit based on the works of Dr. Seuss. Auditions are open to youth age 7 – 18 on January 5, 2019. Auditions and performances will be held at the Hartland Performing Arts Center.
